Marohemo Green Chilli Paste

Chilli paste is the base of any great meal, and making your own has never been easier! Make sure the chillis you're using are nice and fresh to get the best paste possible. It will keep in the fridge for about 3 weeks, but also freezes really well if don't think you'll use it all up in that time.


  • 6 green cayenne chillis
  • 5cm piece of fresh ginger
  • ½ medium brown onion
  • 1 tablespoon lemongrass paste
  • A small bunch of coriander
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (can use lemon)
  • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil

The Magic

  1. Chop everything roughly and process in a stick blender or food processor to a paste.
  2. Put into a jar or any other airtight container and refrigerate.
